Description
The Northern Italian city of Verona is a very romantic place. It is, after all, the setting for Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet'. Across the Adige River, a steep climb up narrow stairways and paths to the top of St Peter's Hill will reward you with unequalled views across the sea of terracotta rooftops that stretch as far as the eye can see and a sprawling vista of one of the most beautiful Italian cities. The spire of the 13th Century gothic Santa Anastasia Church and beyond, the Torrei dei Lamberti are both visible in the centre. I added a little texture and gave this image a painterly look to complete the vintage feel of this typically Italian scene.
